Local Walmart and Sam’s Clubs Raise $213,840 for Connecticut Children’s
Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members in Connecticut put their money where the miracles are during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising campaign.
Local stores raised $213,840.51 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The effort was part of a national campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals which resulted in over $36 million raised, putting the total raised in the U.S. and Canada since 1987 over the $1 billion mark.
Donations poured in Aug. 27 to October 7, as Walmart and Sam’s Club associates at 29 locations throughout Connecticut, excluding Fairfield county, held various in-store fundraising activities and asked customers and members at the register to help kids live better. Activities included pie-in-the-face competitions, carnivals, pot-lucks and more!
Walmart and Sam’s Club annual campaign ensures that the dedicated professionals at Connecticut Children’s can continue researching, discovering, educating, advocating, and—most importantly—delivering family-centered care to children and their families.
Thank you Walmart and Sam’s Club!
