CT Children’s Patient Kyla Creates Chemo Survival Kits for Other Patients

In the midst of battling bone cancer, 19-year-old Kyla Pokorny is thinking of others and hoping to help other patients undergoing cancer treatment just like her.

This inspiring young lady is raising money this holiday season to build what she calls “chemo survival kits”— specialized goodie bags she hopes will help make cancer patients more comfortable as they fight the disease.  Her initial goal was to raise $6,000 and she has far surpassed that, currently having raised over $28,000 for this special project.

Please read the attached story about this amazing young woman and how she has chosen to give back to patients who are facing similar struggles as her.
