Connecticut Drug Card Visits CT Children’s!

Last week, a CT Drug Card representative made a visit to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center to celebrate their 2016 donation. After helping to answer phones at our annual Radiothon event in August, Connecticut Rep, Rachael Marinaccio, stopped by the Medical Center for a tour and dropped off some gifts for the patients. She also announced that Connecticut Drug Card raised $3,484.15 for Connecticut Children’s in 2016!

Each time a prescription is processed through Connecticut Drug Card, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center will receive a donation. Connecticut Drug Card is a statewide prescription assistance program and all Connecticut residents are eligible to have their prescriptions processed through this prescription savings card.

The State RX Card program raises funds for local CMN Hospitals through each use. To date, United Networks of America has donated over $1.1 million to fund critical programs, patient services, charitable care and more for local member hospitals.  The State RX Card is designed to work alongside health insurance. Anyone who is uninsured or underinsured can register for this free card and present it to pharmacies to receive a discount on medications.

Thank you to Rachael and the rest of the CT Drug Card team for all you do to support Connecticut Children’s Medical Center!
